I have been collecting Southernisms for a few years. Southernisms are those colorful sayings that you probably remember your grandparents saying. My grandfathers speech was full of these colorful phrases. Here are some examples:

Drunk as Cooter Brown

Poor as a church mouse

Better than snuff and not half as dusty

He took off like Moody's goose

Grinning like a mule eating saw briers
